ROME: Egypt is not heading towards destabilization and the government will be able to manage discontent that has led to demonstrations, the country’s trade and industry minister said on Wednesday.
“I don’t think, based on the information I have on events of the past few days and hours, that Egypt is heading towards destabilization,” Rachid Mohamed Rachid told a news conference after meeting the Italian trade minister.
“I think the discontent can be managed,” he said, adding that Cairo had already carried out economic and political reforms.
