CAIRO: Suez Cement has closed its factory in Kafr El-Elow temporarily until stability returns to the area, located in Helwan governorate, the company said in a statement.
The precautionary move is meant to ensure the safety of the workers and the company’s property “after groups outside the factory demanded to be immediately employed at Helwan cement factory located in the Kafr El-Elow area,” according to the statement.
Suez Cement said it is “calling on citizens during these sensitive circumstances the country is facing to work together and support the rebuilding of the national economy,” adding that stability is the key to productivity.
