CAIRO: The Egyptian stock exchange, closed since Jan. 27 because of political unrest, said it will remain shut until next week.

The government has announced dates for the resumption of trade several times only to postpone it again. This will make it one month since it was last open.

"It has been decided to suspend trading on the Egyptian Exchange until next week," the exchange said in an emailed statement.
