GAZA CITY: A blast in a Gaza Strip factory on Friday wounded three Palestinians, medical officials said.
The blast occurred in a factory east of Gaza City and three workers were lightly to moderately wounded, said Gaza emergency services spokesman Adham Abu Selmiya, blaming Israeli tank fire.
However, an Israeli army spokesman said there was no military activity in the area at all on Friday.
Israeli sources said the blast was likely caused by mortars fired by Palestinian insurgents trying to target Israel.
An uneasy truce has been in place along the Gaza border for the last two weeks, after days of soaring violence in which Israeli troops pounded Gaza, killing 19 Palestinians, in response to an attack in which an anti-tank missile hit a school bus, killing an Israeli teenager.
