CAIRO: Egypt full-back Ahmed Elmohamady has completed his permanent move from ENPPI to Sunderland after spending last season on loan with the English Premier League side.

"Ahmed has done well in his first season with the club and has shown plenty of potential, "Sunderland coach Steve Bruce was quoted by the club’s official site.

"We look forward to helping him grow as a player and I think there is much more to come from him."

Elmohamady made 38 appearances in all competitions with the Black Cats, who finished 10th in the Premier League last term.
