CAIRO: The Ministry of Health announced that it will be confiscating five drugs from pharmacies around the country and cancelling their registration as they contain the Ketoconazole, which may cause liver failure.

Head of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Affairs, Ashraf Bayoumy, explained that the committee responsible for supervising medication in the ministry has decided to confiscate all these drugs as a precautionary measure after the supervising bodies in France had taken similar measures.

The five drugs are all tablets including Nezoral 200mg, Konazol 200mg, Fungazol 200mg, Ketozol 200mg and Kezol 200mg, all of which have been present in the local market.
