CAIRO: Egypt’s Ministry of Finance said the central bank sold LE 3.9 billion ($654 million) in domestic treasury bills on Thursday, less than the 6 billion pounds it had asked for.
The central bank sold LE 2.5 billion of 182-day T-bills on behalf of the ministry at an average yield of 12.552 percent, up from 12.481 percent at last week’s auction.
It also sold LE 1.4 billion of 357-day T-bills, instead of the LE 3.5 billion it had asked for, at an average yield 12.985 percent, up from 12.939 percent at the last issue on Aug 9.
