CAIRO: State-owned Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) said it was offering 15 blocks in its 2011 oil and gas bid round.
The blocks are located in the Gulf of Suez, the Western Desert, the Eastern Desert and the Sinai sedimentary basins, a statement on the company’s website said.
Of the total, three offshore blocks are being offered in the Gulf of Suez while the remaining 12 are all onshore, an official at the company told Reuters.
The deadline for offers is Jan. 30, 2012.
