CAIRO: The Nasr City Misdemeanor Court decided Wednesday to release eight Ahly football club fans, known as Ultras Ahlawy, accused of rioting and attacking police officers in a match between Ahly and Kima Aswan earlier this month.
The court said it will issue a final verdict on Nov. 30.
The fate of seven minors arrested in the same case, who were released earlier by the prosecution pending investigations, will be decided on Oct. 9.
Meanwhile, a military court adjourned Wednesday the cases of 40 people, arrested on the heels of an attack on the Israeli embassy on Sept. 9, to Monday to listen to the testimony of prosecution witnesses, including the army officers who arrested them.
