CAIRO: Egypt’s central bank sold LE 6.5 billion ($1.09 billion) in domestic treasury bills on Sunday, the same amount it had offered, Egypt’s Finance Ministry said.
The central bank sold LE 3 billion of 91-day T-bills, on behalf of the ministry. The average yield fell to 12.792 percent from 13.024 percent at last week’s auction.
It also sold LE 3.5 billion of 273-day T-bills, the average yield fell to 13.759 percent from 13.842 percent at the last issue on Sept. 20.
