CAIRO: Global Voice Hall (GVH), a free membership-driven web-based social news platform, will broadcast its first Pangaea Forum in the Middle East on April 24 from the American University in Cairo.

The Pangaea Forum is a live produced international town hall event that is live streamed in front of a live studio audience. The Cairo Forum will be hosted by Rawya Rageh, Cairo-based reporter for Al Jazeera English, who will moderate the debate between a panel of distinguished guests and field questions from the studio audience-as well as from the online community via live chat, facebook, and twitter.

The Forum will be streamed live via www.globalvoicehall.com. It will debate the success of the Jan. 25 Revolution with a focus on the question of whether or not it has been hijacked, giving viewers the means to post questions and share thoughts and commentary in real time with some of the region’s most influential speakers such as Sultan Al Qassemi, a UAE based columnist and prominent commentator on Arab Affairs, Alaa Abdel Fattah, Fatima Abu Zeid, founding member of the FJP in addition to a military expert and legal expert to be announced soon.

Commenting on the importance of forming online networking and news sharing groups, Sylvia Schoonderbeek, Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, confirmed GVH’s commitment to engaging its members in a global conversation that facilitates communication and education and fosters greater cultural understanding.

“Our region demonstrates an unparalleled opportunity for change. The Cairo Pangaea Forum, our first of a series of ongoing forums that will be held in Libya, Tunisia and other Arab countries over the next few months, will capitalize on that need for change by providing members with a medium that enables them to exchange views in an environment of peace, security and freedom of expression,” Schoonderbeek concluded.

To access and engage with the speakers at the forum on April 24, individuals can become members by signing up on Global Voice Hall’s platform on www.globalvoicehall.com. Information and updates will be available via twitter @GVHlive and facebook https://www.facebook.com/globalvoicehall throughout April. –Daily News Egypt
