The New Minya City Administration is preparing to offer several pieces of land designated for residential, commercial and leisure purposes in a sealed-envelope public auction next month.
Engineer Muhammad Aashour Abdel Rahman, City Administration Head, said that the necessary studies of the lands to be offered had been completed recently. The studies will be submitted to the Urban Communities Authority, which will set the date of the public auction expected next month He noted that the lands to be of- fered include a piece of residential land between 8 and 10 feddan in the Al-Hay Al-Mutamayyez area, 64 feddan of large plots, and 4 feddan of small plots set aside for tourism in the city’s tourist area. Also to be offered are 3 pieces of commercial land with areas between 500 and 1,500 sq metres, as well as 3 pieces of recreational land between 800 and 2000 sq metres.
Abdul Rahman clarified that the auction will also include an 8,000- sq metre piece of land set aside for the construction of a preschool and a school for all grades in the city’s Al- Imtidad Al-Sharqi area.
He noted that the City Administra- tion is currently working to determine all sanitation and water networks and power stations that will need to be refitted to accommodate the expect- ed population increase as a result of these projects. This refitting will be offered for public bidding by contrac- tors, and should be completed in full by the end of 2015.
In other news,the city recently com- pleted its offering of residential lands within the city, in addition to lands for workers outside it at a price of $200 per metre under the name “Beit Al- Watan”, a project launched by Prime Minister Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury.
