The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has expressed the willingness to work with the every Egyptian authority to offer the optimum technical and financial support to assist Egypt in muddling through the current economic difficulties.
A press release affirmed that IMF managing editor Christine Lagarde has already contacted President Morsi to congratulate him for his presidential victory and what he expressed as a “step forward in the Egyptian transition.”
The current economic status of the country was highlight of the discussion, in which the IMF reopened the issue of the USD 3.2 billion loan and offered assistance in mending the ailing structure of the Egyptian economy to achieve targeted developmental goals.
