Pakistan announced the reopening of its supply routes for NATO facilities passing into Afghanistan.
The announcement follows the United States Secretary of State Hilary Clinton’s formal apology for the killing of 24 Pakistani soldiers on the border with Afghanistan last November by airstrikes.
Pakistan closed the NATO supply routes after the incident, demanding a formal apology for the killings.
The continued closing of the route would have cost the US, already planning a withdrawal from neighbouring Afghanistan, millions of dollars.
The Pakistani Taliban has threatened to attack the NATO convoy.
