Suleiman’s body arrives on Friday at Wadi al-Nile hospital after being flown from the United States. Thousands gathered to bid farewell to the body of former intelligence chief and vice president Omar Suleiman on Saturday as his coffin draped with the Egyptian flag was drawn by horse carriage to outside of the Al-Rashdan Mosque in Nasr City. The Cleveland Clinic, in the state of Ohio, says Suleiman died while undergoing treatment three days after tests revealed he had a rare heart and kidney disease. Suleiman was given a military funeral attended by Field Marashal Tantawi, Al Azhar Grand Mufti, several other SCAF members, and Grand Chamberlain of the presidential office in place of President Morsy.
