The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs sent the Daily News Egypt a completed situation report on the recent earthquakes in northern Iran. The report raises the death toll to 306 and the injured to 2,600. It also adds that 50,000 Iranians are now living in tents as a result of the quake. Iranian agencies the National Disaster Management Organization and the Iranian Red Crescent Society are running the rescue operation. Iran will accept outside assistance, but is not requesting it.
