KidZania® Cairo signed a cooperation agreement with Puccino’s whereby an Italian pizzeria will be established in the kids-scale city. Present at the signing ceremony were KidZania® Egypt Governor, Mr. Tarek Zidan, along with Chairman of Target Group (Owner Company of Puccino’s franchise in Egypt and the Middle East), Mr. Sherif Edward.
Mr. Zidan expressed his excitement about having Puccino’s among KidZania partnering brands saying: “We always look forward to teaming up with partners who will provide realism and tremendous fun to KidZania®. Puccino’s will simply indulge our small patrons in a tasty experience by teaching them how to make delicious pizza, using best ingredients and following international standards.”
From his side Mr. Edward said “Because of its uniqueness and highly interactive nature, we leapt into the chance of being part of such a leading educational concept,” said Mr. Edward. It’s truly an edutainment city.
“Through our new pavilion, and adopting the slogan ‘Put your uniform on and get ready for the fun!’, we guarantee children tremendous fun while allowing them to experience the art and secrets of tasty pizza making using the freshest of ingredients in an appealing manner that is suitable for children’s’ ages and interests,” Edward clarified
Target Group was established in 2000 to build a solid foundation for running and maintaining a successful food & beverage business. Target Group currently operates 20 outlets with distinguished brands “Chez Edy, Segafredo, & Puccino’s, with plans afoot to open 12 new branches in 2012.
KidZania® Cairo is an entire kids-scale city built to simulate real life. Children between the ages of 4-14 are able to choose from more than 70 real-life jobs in a wide variety of sectors including retail, media and entertainment, construction, culture, sports and industry. Children can role play activities such as doctors, firemen, pilots or chefs in fully-equipped facilities, move around the edutainment city in cars or via public transportation, practice driving at the driving streets within the city, dine at restaurants, or explore their talents at the theatre. As in the real world, children perform jobs and are either paid for their work or pay to shop or to be certified or entertained.
Spanning over 8,600 sqm on a two-storey layout, KidZania® Cairo is expected to draw between 750,000 to 1 million visitors when it opens in January 2013 at Cairo festival City.
