Civil groups marched Friday from different mosques in Cairo and Giza demanding a new represetitive constituent assembly, fair wages, end of corruption among other demands. Thousands fo protesters flooded tahrir square after calls has been made for the last seven days by civil coalition, most notable Al-Dostor Party and the Poular Current.
Last Friday, protesters clashed with supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and President Mohamed Morsy, after the first started chanting against Islamist parties and ruling. Today’s protest comes as a response from the civil groups who viewed the clashes as an attempt to clamp on freedom of speech.
Protests today has been peaceful, with no police presence detected.
