JERUSALEM-AFP- Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak expanded on Friday the call-up of reserve soldiers, a spokesman said, as Israel pushed ahead with a major offensive against militants in the Gaza Strip.
“The defence minister has this evening ordered the mobilisation of new reserve forces,” Josh Hantman told AFP shortly after a rocket fired from Gaza hit a West Bank settlement bloc near Jerusalem and another landed in the sea by central Tel Aviv.
