Paris- AFP – Syria’s newly formed opposition National Coalition will appoint an ambassador to France, President Francois Hollande said after meeting with its leader Ahmed Moaz al-Khatib in Paris.

The remark came just four days after France became the first Western country to recognise the coalition as the sole representative of the Syrian people.
