Last night it started raining in Cairo, and mayhem ensued. Within minutes streets flood and traffic crawls over the muddy tarmac.

The flooding is due to the lack of sewers, the traffic jams are caused by everyone slowing down as soon as the first drops have fallen in the inexplicable Cairo traffic behaviour.

Traditional transport wins hands down in these circumstances, as shown in the image above.
