Mansorua internet speeds ahead of the pack nationwide

Web-based testing application Ookla placed Mansoura as the governorate within Egypt with the fastest internet connections, after conducting a number of speed tests during February 2012.

Mansoura download speeds reached 1.7 megabytes per second, with Giza placing second at 1.6 megabytes per second.

Cairo placed third with 1.4 megabytes per second in terms of download speed, with Nasr City recording 1.1 megabytes per second.

Hurghada also recorded 1.1 megabytes per second, with Alexandria boasting 1.09 megabytes per second.

Helwan placed seventh with a recorded speed of 1.01 megabytes per second.

Asyut placed eighth, with 1 megabytes per second download speed, with Ismailia placing ninth with 0.94 megabytes per second.

Port Said finished in tenth place, recording 0.9 megabytes per second in terms of download speed.
