In an impromptu move, 6 April Youth Movement- the group led by Ahmed Maher- surrounded the house of the Minister of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim, in a protest labelled “ a prostitute of all regimes”; in reference to the ministry of interior.
Hundreds of the movement’s members gathered at 1.30 am on Friday holding female undergarments, which they threw at the minister’s house, as a sign of political prostitution and subservience to the current government.
The protesters chanted against the police and demanded justice for all who were killed in clashes.
At time of reporting, the movement’s Spokesperson Mohamed Adel reported clashes between the protesters and the police, in which teargas and bird-shots were used against “unarmed” demonstrators, with at least two members arrested.
On Thursday night, the movement announced a “surprise” to be unfolded later.
