15 died in a fire in Cairo’s El-Mosky neighbourhood after a row between street vendors and the owner of a perfume shop.
Investigations showed that 13 died due to suffocation from heavy smoke, and two were found dead from gunshots shot in front of the store, according to state-owned Al-Ahram.
According to the ongoing investigations, street vendors shut the door to the store after setting it on fire, in order to trap the owner and workers inside.
Al-Ahram reported that among the dead were a 16-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, the ages of the other victims ranged between 20 and 30 years.
Two other shops next to the perfume store were also burnt by the fire.
