Brotherhood leader detained for 15 more days

Former Shura Council and Muslim Brotherhood member Sobhi Saleh was detained for 15 more days with charges of inciting violence and killings in the Sidi Gaber area in Alexandria on 6 June 2013, Sidi Gaber court decided on Sunday, according to state-owned Al-Ahram.

The prosecution also charged Saleh with being a member of  “a banned violent organisation.”

Clashes in Alexandria on 6 June 2013 resulted in 12 fatalities and 200 injured, according to an official count. Molotov cocktails and stones were thrown in the neighbourhood of Sidi Gaber; Central Security forces fought with pro-Morsi protesters in several pockets of violence, which lasted for several hours.

Saleh, who was arrested on 1 September 2013 in Borg Al-Arab near Alexandria, was detained for 15 days on the day of his arrest.
