Police on Friday arrested the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Cairo spokesman Ahmed Sobea in his Helwan residence, according to state-owned Al-Ahram.
Sobea, who was also working with the Hamas-affiliated Al-Aqsa satellite channel, was detained on charges of inciting violence.
The recent wave of arrests has targeted many senior Muslim Brotherhood and FJP figures. Two spokesmen for the Brotherhood, Ahmed Aref and Gehad El-Haddad have also been arrested following former president Mohamed Morsi’s ouster.
