Over the next few days more and more Christmas trees will appear in hotels that hope to give foreign visitors a sense of home, in restaurants that have posted festive menus for Christmas Eve and Day and in private homes.
The decorations can vary from the tasteful and sparse to overly lavish and gaudy and everything in between. This year DNE is on a quest to find interesting baubles, sparkling trinkets and downright tasteless ornaments on trees we encounter this holiday season.
