The Ministry of Civil Aviation will facilitate the distribution of aids or grants from Egyptians living abroad to poor villages in Egypt, according to civil aviation minister Abdel-Aziz Fadel.

Fadel said: “These flights are exempt from takeoff, landing and discharging fees,” adding that “this represents the ministry’s contribution to this initiative”.

Fadel’s announcement was made in Cargo Village at the Cairo Airport during the reception of a private airplane owned by an express mail company. The airplane transported 30 tonnes of blankets, winter clothes and aid from Egyptians living abroad to poor villages nationwide.

According to Al-Shark Al-Awsat, the minister asserted: “The ministry will provide all facilities to all future flights within the coming period.”
