Business Media Group (BMG) will organise a conference that seeks to find alternative and renewable energy to substitute conventional energy sources. The conference will be sponsored by the Ministry of Energy and Electricity (MOEE) and the Ministry of Petroleum.
Media sponsors for the event include Daily News Egypt, AlBorsa News, El Youm El Sabe’, Cairo Post and Amwal Alghad.
Policy makers and key energy experts will attend the conference, along with government officials and ministers.
The two-day conference will be held on 17 and 18 February and consist of 10 sessions in which attendees will discuss the current situation of traditional energy sources and the prospect of new, renewable ones. It will also tackle the sector’s policies and the interactions of the private sector with energy resources.
Minister of Petroleum Sherif Ismail, Minister of electricity Ahmed Emam , Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou, Minister of Environment Laila Iskander, Minister of Housing Ibrahim Mahlab, and Minister of State for Local Development Adel Labib will all participate in the conference’s opening session.
The first session will present the Ministry of Electricity’s future plan on methods of new and renewable energy. The session will deal with measuring the current plan as well as preparing for potential opportunities and challenges.
The second day will feature discussions on the availability and accessibility to financing and possibilities of financial institutions to work with active companies in the field of new and renewable energy.
