The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology is celebrating with the Ministry of Education the achievement of several items in a protocol they signed, which relate to the development of technical and industrial schools using information technology.
The protocol aims at upgrading technical education, vocational training and strengthening its role through the use of IT systems and communication in industrial schools. The communication ministry is researching ways to expand areas of cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
According to an official statement by the technology ministry, the two ministries have completed renovations of 10 technical schools in the areas of advanced infrastructure of information and communication technology.
The students from the technical and industrial schools presented their creative ideas during the ceremony. The proposals centred around the use of information technology in various fields of industry, including decreasing water consumption through the use of virtual labs to solve the problem of leakage and water wasted in government institutions and public places.
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has achieved several items in the protocol, which include the technological infrastructure of the project, virtual labs and specialised professional training.
