Emirates NBD celebrated its official inauguration in Cairo on Tuesday.
The event was attended by Egypt’s Deputy Central Bank Governor Nidal Assar and Consul General of the United Arab Emirates Hamad Al Mansoori, according to an official statement issued by Emirates NBD on Tuesday.
The chairman of Emirates NBD Egypt Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim said the establishment of NBD in Egypt reflects “the cooperation between the two countries”, given the economic and business ties between the UAE and Egypt.
The managing director of Emirates NBD Egypt Giel-Jan Van der Tol said that NBD has set goals which include “rolling out unique products and services to [their] clients”. He added that NBD is planning on building a strong infrastructure that will help the bank become “one of the top players in Egypt’s banking arena”.
Emirates NBD is regional banking group with more than 220 branches and over 927 ATMs and CDMs in the UAE and overseas, with involvement in corporate, investment, Islamic banking, and more.
Emirates NBD has operations all over the UAE, Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Singapore, the United Kingdom and representative offices in India, China and Indonesia.
