Today, Western and Eastern Orthodox Christians celebrate Palm Sunday, the start of the Holy Week which leads up to Easter on 20 April.

In Egypt Palm Sunday is celebrated with a procession, during which many different objects made out of palm leaves are carried. In the photo from last year a man uses palm leaves to make a cross for the procession.
