Alexandria Misdemeanour Court postponed Monday the trial in Alexandria of 10 political activists accused of burning down the headquarters of the Freedom and Justice Party until 21 June.

This was the third hearing in the trial for actions the accused are said to have committed whilst former President Mohamed Morsi was still in power.

The 10 activists also face accusations including illegal assembly, assaulting and wounding police officers, and attacking public property including a police station.

Lawyer Mahienour El-Massry, one of the 10 accused, was sentenced on 26 May to two years in prison. She was fined EGP 50,000 for protesting during the trial of the policemen charged with the murder of Khaled Said.
