Students in university campuses across Egypt held protests Sunday condemning the arrest of fellow students, clashing with members of private security company Falcon. The company’s personnel retreated from their positions as they were chased by students.
In Cairo University, security forces intervened, blocking the roads leading to campus and troops from the Central Security Forces closed the main entrance gates. At Al-Azhar University, sources say six students were arrested, and Falcon members were chased off by students.
