In the 13th week of the Premier League, Chelsea maintained its place even after having tied 0-0 with Sunderland; the third tie for Chelsea since the start of the league this year. The team did not lose any games until now, reaching 33 points, a difference of 6 points from the runner-up team.

Manchester City made it to second place following the 3-0 win over Southampton. This marked the third time that Southampton lost a game this season and the first time on its own field, on which there has not been a single defeat during the last 12 rounds. As a result, Manchester City reached 27 points while Southampton has 26.

Manchester United maintained its leading place after winning with 3-0 against Hull City while being on the fourth place as last week, making the number of points reach 22 points.

Meanwhile, Queens Park Rangers, Burnley and Leicester City were the last on the list and none of them improved their position for the fourth consecutive week, although they exchanged the 18th and 20th positions over the last weeks.

The 13th round of the Premier League saw 21 goals, 19 goals of which were open play goals, and 2 were dead ball goals through penalty kicks. 47 cards were raised, 45 of which were yellow cards, and 2 were red.

In the Primera Division, Real Madrid is still ahead of the other teams after 13 rounds and for the 4th consecutive week, with 33 points after the 11th win for this season against Malaga (1-2). Real Madrid maintained the two-point difference between its rival Barcelona, after a 1-0 win of the latter over Valencia in a difficult game. Valencia receded from the fourth to the fifth place.

Atlético Madrid made its 9th win of the season against Deportivo La Coruna with two straight goals to raise the balance of points to 29, ranking third among the Primera Division teams.

Deportivo, Elche and Cordoba came last in the list, with the same ranks as the previous round.

This round witnessed 25 goals and one of the most intense games was that of Seville against Granada, in which the former won 5-1. Referees raised 66 cards, 65 of which were yellow and 1 was red.

In the Bundesliga competition, Bayern Munich maintained its leading rank with 33 points after a 1-0 win against the host team Hertha BSC.

Wolfsburg also won against strong rival Mönchengladbach with one clean goal, so that the team remained runner-up with 26 points, while Mönchengladbach gathered 20 points and maintained the fifth rank.

Bayer Leverkusen team swept his host team Colin 5-1, raising its points to 23 and going up to third place.

At the bottom of the rankings lie Stuttgart, Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund. The former won the German league title five times, most recently during the 2006/2007 season, while the Hamburg team holds six local titles, the last of which, however, was 32 years ago in the 1981-1982 season.

Borussia Dortmund is at the bottom of the German league, ranking in last place after the eighth loss of the season to the host team Frankfurt, and the team has only 11 points after 13 rounds.

Dortmund won the Bundesliga title eight times, most recently in the 2011-2012 season and ended as runner-up in the last two seasons.The team also won a runner-up place in the UEFA Champions League in 2013.

Bundesliga leads the major European leagues in terms of scores for this week, where during the 13th round, 35 goals were scored with of an average of 3.5 goals per game.

As usual in the last seasons, the Serie A remained predictable. Juventus, the champion of the last three seasons, is still on top of the game after 13 rounds. Juventus won for the 11th time against Turin, with 2-1, to raise its tally to 34 points.

On a similar note, AS Roma team stands second, having previously been the runner up 13 times, the last of which was in the previous season. Roma made a huge 4-2 win this week against Inter Milan, bringing the tally to 31 points, with only a 3 point difference with Juventus.

Napoli comes in third place with 23 points, after tying 1-1 with Sampdoria outside its field, while Genoa won fourth place with the same points, but with only 1 goal difference to Napoli.

In the Serie A, Chievo Verona, Parma and Cesena rank in the last three places, respectively, and none of the teams have changed ranks since the ninth week.

In total, 26 goals were scored in the 13th round of the Serie A, 18 of which were open play goals, while 8 were dead ball goals.
