The Toronto Raptors, the only Canadian team in the tournament, still leads the eastern group with 2,175 points scored as the fourth most prolific team in its group score-wise, gaining this score playing 20 games, winning 15, and losing only five, most recently against the Cleveland Cavaliers which are currently in seventh place. The Toronto Raptors finished last season in third place.
The Milwaukee Bucks came in second after playing 22 games with its players scoring 2,172 points, winning 11 games, and losing 11, most recently against Dallas Mavericks.
The Atlanta Hawks are in third. The Hawks have played 19 games and scored 1,966 points, winning 13 games and losing 6 times, most recently against the Toronto Raptors.
Representing fourth place in the eastern group are the Washington Wizards, with 13 wins, 6 defeats, and 1,894 points.
The Miami Heat is currently in eighth place after 20 games played, only winning 9. This is the same team that played in the final game last year and lost to San Antonio Spurs, the defending champion, who also won the championship in the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 seasons.
As for the western group, the Dallas Mavericks scored 2,434 points in 22 games as one of the most prolific scorers of the NBA. The Mavericks won 16 games and lost 6, the last of which was against the Phoenix Suns.
The Golden State Warriors occupy second place in the same group, which has the record for the highest amount of victories in the NBA, having won 17 games out of a total of 19, with a total of 2,035 points.
The Portland Trail Blazers occupy third place, having managed to win 16 games and losing 4 with a total of 2,068 points. Their latest defeat was at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Memphis Grizzlies are currently in fourth place with 16 wins, 4 defeats, and 2,007 points, the most recent loss being against San Antonio Spurs.
Last year defending champion San Antonio Spurs came in sixth place after 20 games, having won 15 with total of 2,023 points.
