One policeman was killed in a blast while dismantling a bomb in Giza in Greater Cairo in front of Al-Talbeya police station on Tuesday, state media reported.

A video of the incident went viral on social media networks.

The incident took place on the same day two policemen were killed as they were guarding a church in Minya.

Last week an army sergeant was killed as he was defusing a bomb in Sheikh Zuwaid in North Sinai. The bomb left an officer and a soldier injured as well.

Bombings targeting military and police forces have been taking place regularly in governorates across Egypt since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
