Ghabbour Auto is planning to launch a new minivan locally under the brand name Karry, which will accommodate eight passengers. The car is expected to be offered at EGP 67,000.

Karry minivan is produced by the Chinese global brand Cherry, with Ghabbour Auto taking over from Modern Motors as its local Egypt agent six months ago. Karry cars sold 496 cars worth EGP 34.2m in the period between January and November 2014.

This took advantage of the increase in bus and truck sales of 30,400 units by the end of 2014 and of the increase at 28% compared to 2013 when imported units had a huge figure difference at 17,500 units compared to the local units at 12,900 units.
