The Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) will promote across Africa participation in the March Economic Summit scheduled in Sharm El-Sheikh, said FEI head Mohamed El-Sewedy in a Wednesday press conference.
El-Sewedy added that they have already sent invitations to seven Chinese companies.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) will travel to Russia, France and Germany for the same purpose, El-Sewedy said.
Moreover, two conferences were held last week, one in Brussels and the other in Luxembourg to promote the summit, the FEDCOC said this week.
Chambers inside the FEI will propose projects to be showcased during the summit, some of which are to establish industrial areas after being offered land, he noted.
During the World Economic Forum from 21-24 January in Davos, President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi invited world business leaders to participate in the Summit to support Egypt’s economic development.
The director-general of the Saudi-Egyptian Businessmen Association (SEBA) Ahmed Darwish revealed Sunday that over 1,000 Saudi businessmen and companies in various sectors are expected to attend the March Economic Summit.
