The Egyptian Ministry of Education signed a long term agreement Saturday with ALEXBank and Filmar Nile Textile, part of Filmar Group, entitled “Cotton for Life” to promote Egypt’s cotton industry.
The five-year agreement will encourage the development of students’ skills in agricultural schools and their training in the best cultivation methods. It will help ensure high quality crops down the line, and qualify for global market competition, the bank said on Thursday.
“These schools will fall into the geographical scope of the cotton-growing areas so that technical and agricultural education can match the international demand for high end products, building a bridge between Egyptian rural areas and the global markets,” ALEXBank added.
Signing the agreement was attended by Minister of Education Mahmoud Abu El-Nasr, Chief Risk Officer and Executive Board member of ALEXBANK Paolo Vivona, CEO of Filmar Nile Textile Vincenzo Gaspari and Managing Director of Filmar Group Marco Marzoli.
