The Menufiya Administrative Court dismissed on Friday business tycoon Ahmed Ezz’s appeal against his ban from partaking in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the state-run news agency MENA reported.
The court dismissed his appeal due to Ezz’s incomplete paperwork and for his failure to supply them with his financial documents, the news agency said.
Ezz, a steel tycoon from the heydays of former president Hosni Mubarak, was one of the senior figures of the Mubrak regime’s National Democratic Party who were put in jail after the 25 January Revolution.
Ezz was recently released from jail; his release was met with criticism from activists.
