Global Napi Pharmaceuticals (GNP) will compete for one of the projects proposed by the Ministry of Health in Egypt’s Economic Development Conference (EEDC), said Chairman of GNP Makram Mehany, .

Mehany noted, in an interview with Daily News Egypt on the side-lines of the EEDC in Sharm El-Sheikh, that the company intends to inject $100m in case it acquires the project.

Pharmaceutical drug sales amounted $4bn in 2014, according to a report by British EMS, with a growth rate of 10% more than 2013.

Mehany hopes that the government begins changing the prices of pharmaceutical drugs in a way that halts the mounting losses of pharmaceutical companies due to the decrease in the Egyptian Pound exchange rate.
