The Ministry of Finance will hold a press conference on 26 March regarding community-based dialogue, and to discuss the proposed preliminary draft of the fiscal year (FY) 2015/2016 budget.

The conference will be held in cooperation with the World Bank and other two civil society organisations, to consolidate the principles of transparency and community participation between civil society and the public sector in the preparation of the state budget.

Officials at the conference will discuss the preliminary national budget draft proposal and how it can be adopted as the final national budget. Civil society organisations will also present their views on the draft proposal in terms of the economy and social rights along with the investment climate and the new energy strategy.

The conference will further discuss the re-prioritisation of spending, the reformations in the tax system, the strengthening of social protection systems and the promotion of justice in terms of the distribution of wealth.
