Three militants were killed following a bomb explosion in Sharqeya governorate, according to state-run news agency MENA.
The militants were killed as they were manufacturing the explosive device, which resulted in the collapse of their house.
Earlier in March, two people were killed and a third injured as they were planting an explosive device,also in Sharqeya governorate.
Militant activities have been on the rise across Egypt since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in 2013. The highest frequency of insurgency occurs in North Sinai and Greater Cairo
