Advertising through the Internet is vastly growing during this period, said Natalie Youssef, CEO of Enova Digital Marketing & Advisory, noting that it grows with rates of more than 10% to date.

She added that the industry grows steadily in the Middle East, especially Egypt. The North African country has all the major elements needed for  business growth as there is a wide base of Internet users exceeding 49 million, which shows the volume of the targeted clients’ base, in addition to activeness of users of social networks – Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

In the same context, Ahmed Sarhan, CEO of Dream Makers for Advertising, believes that the Egyptian market has the properties to become a centre for advertising services and marketing consultancy in the Middle East, especially with the development of the information technology infrastructure of the country.

Digital Marketing Academy classified Egypt as the second Arab country in terms of interaction on social networks, as there are 18 million Facebook users in Egypt.

Sarhan added that Internet advertising has been growing significantly since 2011, when companies realised the important role social networks played, noting that the expected growth rate of the industry exceeds 20%, if the current rate continues.

Further, Ahmed Shabana, Founder and CEO of Agzakhana.com, said that the Egyptian market is still young with respect to the digital advertising business. This gives vital chances for growth, adding that Egypt is the largest country in terms of the number of Internet users in the Middle East, and this allows more opportunities for the industry to grow.
