Walking down the streets wearing the latest haute couture creations might not be a standard scene to many Egyptians. Soon enough, however, Egypt’s upcoming event “Fashion Walk” is set to change that forever.
The capital’s busiest high streets are bringing style to your doorstep. Right off the runway, Fashion Walk aims to organise the first series of fashion shows in the heart of Egypt’s streets, bringing all sorts of intriguing fashion fiestas.
Fashion Walk is an upcoming seasonal event from fashion experts directly to the people. Each season will be held in a different neighbourhood in order to reach out to everyone.
The event will not only be held in the streets, it will also be inspired from the nature of Egypt’s infrastructure, underground, embracing its eccentricity and rebellious fashion sense.
The show is keen on delivering fashion to everyone and breaking the conventional circle of fashion followers to build up a wider clientele, as thousands of attendees will be welcomed to enjoy the extravagant shows.
“Fashion Walk is a massive designer showcase, which will help the artists engage directly with the biggest audience,” said organiser Ahmed Ghanem.
“Street fashion shows stemmed from the idea of introducing an effective marketing approach in a quite innovative way; far from the limited ordinary attendance of celebrities, designer’s close circle of friends and business associates,” Ghanem said, adding that it should open the door to an intense competition between designers.
Moreover, Fashion Walk is not only about entertainment as 50% of the ticket revenues will go to the Ayadi Al-Mostakbal Oncology Center in Alexandria.
Street fashion shows have become as popular as the runway shows everywhere around the world. Prominent brands as well as the most prestigious designers have already sent models walking down the streets in their latest haute couture creations.
