On Saturday, the Citizen’s Account project was launched. The National Post Authority presented this project to the cabinet to support individuals with limited income, as well as individuals with modest professions.
The project mainly targets citizens with modest professions and artisans, and those who do not have insurance coverage or the stable income needed to save money to face living conditions.
The “Citizen’s Account” project aims to reach a segment of low-income citizens and integrate them in a Takaful [type of Islamic insurance] system of investment. This would include a Takaful saving fund specifically designed to care for this segment of the community, through a group insurance record designed to face the risk of death.
