The value of production requirements reached EGP 208.2bn in 2013/2014 compared to EGP 148.8bn in 2012/2013, an increase of 39.9%, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
In the annual statistics and economic indicators of the economic bodies for 2013/2014 issued on Wednesday, the value of wages in economic bodies reached EGP 18.4bn compared to 16.3bn in 2012/2013, an increase rate of 13%. The report attributed the increase to production increase.
The value of capital additions to fixed assets amounted to EGP 37.6bn in 2013/2014, compared to EGP 36.2bn in 2012/201s, with an increase of 3.7%.
The value of full production cost reached EGP 9.8bn in 2013/2014 compared to EGP 8.2bn in 2012/2013 with an increase rate of 18.7%.
The number of economic entities in Egypt account for 47 bodies, including the Egyptian General Authority of Survey, Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) , the Egyptian National Railways (ENR), the Suez Canal Authority, and Egypt Post.
