Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on Friday, as well as the Emirati and Kuwaiti foreign ministers.
During his meeting with the Saudi King, Shoukry stressed the importance of Saudi-Egyptian relations and relayed President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s appreciation for the level of strategical relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Shoukry also met Friday with his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting tackled the regional crises in Libya, Yemen, Syria and Iraq. The duo also discussed counterterrorism efforts and Iran’s nuclear deal.
Following the meeting, Shoukry set out to Kuwait to meet his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah to discuss bilateral relations.
