The Federation of Egyptian Banks (FEB) has prepared a special brochure to distribute among school students to spread banking awareness and inform students of the importance of dealing through banks, according to Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of Banque Misr and board member of the FEB.

He explained that the FEB, in cooperation with the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), aims to consolidate and disseminate the culture of financial inclusion in society during this phase.

El-Etreby added that the FEB has adopted an initiative under the name of “You must have a bank”, with support from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). FEB has held extensive campaigns in order to deliver the message to the largest possible number of individuals.

It also started a media campaign that coincided with the real estate financing initiative held by the CBE in February 2014. The campaign contributed to allowing a large sector of low-income individuals to benefit from services of the banking sector. Moreover, the FEB held a number of sessions by economic analysts on financial education.
